Why I Started NOVA Wellness
I want to tell you why I started NOVA Wellness.
Not the business version of that answer. The real one.
Most of What We Call Healthcare Isn't
After more than a decade in clinical practice, I came to a conclusion that made me uncomfortable: most of what we do in medicine isn't really healthcare. It's sick care. We wait for problems to arrive, and then we react. Sometimes really well. But I believe true wellness is more than the absence of disease — and the system I was working in wasn't built to deliver it.
I watched patients come in with symptoms that were real and valid, only to leave with a prescription that addressed the surface and nothing underneath. I watched people get told "it's just stress" or "it's just aging." I watched women — and men — dismissed when they knew something was wrong, because no one slowed down long enough to actually listen.
And I'll be honest with you: I was part of that system. Burned out, short on time, moving from patient to patient. I know what that looks like from the inside. And I knew I didn't want to practice that way anymore.
Then It Became Personal
It became personal when I watched my wife begin to struggle with perimenopause and have her symptoms brushed off — handed another prescription instead of real answers. It became personal when I watched a neighbor go years with hormone issues that no one would take seriously. Not out of malice. Just because no one slowed down enough to truly listen.
I realized something in those moments. The way we approach hormones — especially women's health — is not good enough. The way we normalize midlife decline instead of treating it thoughtfully is not good enough. And the way people are made to feel like they're overreacting when they know something has shifted in their body — that is not good enough.
There is no cookie-cutter plan. There is only your plan. And you deserve a provider who believes that.
And Then It Became About Me
I started to feel it myself. Low energy. Less focus. Less drive. I went from being a high-level athlete to feeling off. Slower. Weaker. Less like myself. And I was told — as so many of my patients had been told before me — "everything looks normal."
But I didn't feel normal.
I was tired. Stressed. Trying to be a good husband, a good father, and realizing I didn't have the energy I wanted for my own life. I didn't want to become someone who couldn't play with my kids — or someday, my grandkids. That scared me. And it changed me.
It made me realize we can do better. I can do better.
What NOVA Actually Is
NOVA is not a hormone clinic. It's not a med spa. It's not another trend business chasing the next injectable.
NOVA is a restoration practice — for people who feel abandoned by modern healthcare and overwhelmed by modern wellness culture. It exists for people who want real health, real vitality, and real longevity, and who are willing to participate in earning it.
Because what I've learned — both from a decade of clinical practice and from my own experience as a patient — is that people don't just want weight loss or testosterone or peptides. They want to recognize themselves again. They want to look in the mirror and say, there I am. That is identity restoration. Not vanity. Recognition.
So when others dismiss you, we listen. When others medicate symptoms, we look deeper. When others accept decline, we help you fight for better. Because I believe that people should not be taught to quietly accept decline when strength, vitality, and renewal are still possible.
My Commitment to You
At NOVA Wellness, my commitment is simple. I will listen and I will care. I will take the time to understand your story. I'll dig into your labs, your lifestyle, your goals — and we'll build a plan that is actually right for you. If hormone therapy makes sense, we'll use it. If it doesn't, we'll figure out what does. If you don't need something, I'll tell you. If there's a simpler place to start, we'll start there.
This isn't about profit. It's about helping you feel like yourself again.
I don't claim to know everything. But I know this: I care deeply about doing this the right way. And my goal — the reason I built this practice — is to help as many people as I can find real, lasting wellness.
If this resonates with you, I'd love to meet you. Your first consultation is free. Come in and let's talk about where you are, where you want to be, and how we get there together.
Because this is where people go when they are tired of being dismissed. Where science meets humanity. And where people begin again.
Welcome to NOVA.
